Boat and yacht registration and inspection

The three authorities we handle for you

We act as your single point of contact with the three government authorities governing UAE vessel registration — every interaction submitted and tracked online.

DMA

Dubai Maritime Authority — Dubai operations

The primary regulatory body for maritime activities, port operations, vessel licensing and commercial marine oversight within the Emirate of Dubai.

  • Vessel licensing & port permits

Vessel operating licenses, port entry permits, facility approvals and planning permits required for legal operation in Dubai waters — all submitted and processed online.

  • Maritime commercial compliance

We ensure chartering, cargo operations and passenger transport comply with the DMA regulatory framework and commercial marine codes, with digital compliance checks.

  • Smart digital processing

We use the DMA smart platforms, including the Smart DMA App, to process registrations, license renewals and to arrange third-party and comprehensive marine insurance on your behalf.

  • Temporary operator licenses

Fast-track online issuance of temporary vessel operator licenses for visiting international vessels and their guests, so foreign nationals can legally navigate Dubai waters during their stay.

  • Survey & tonnage coordination

We liaise with DMA-approved surveyors for mandatory inspections, tonnage measurements and safety checks, with digital submission of every survey report.

MOEI

Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure — federal registry

The supreme federal authority for statutory registration of all UAE-flagged vessels. Under Federal Decree No. 43 of 2023, MOEI maintains the official Vessel Register.

  • Official vessel enrollment

The complete online enrollment on the official Vessel Register, securing your vessel's UAE nationality and flag status without any physical visit.

  • Title deed & ownership

We prepare, notarize and legalize ownership deeds digitally, ensuring a clear and undisputed title that meets the ministry's requirements.

  • Classification & tonnage

We coordinate with approved classification societies for mandatory tonnage measurements and safety surveys, with all certificates submitted electronically.

  • Statutory compliance & renewals

We keep your registration compliant with the latest federal maritime regulations and manage annual renewals, endorsements and de-registrations online.

  • Expanded eligibility

We use the new Maritime Law to register a wider range of vessels under the UAE flag — including vessels under construction, bareboat-chartered vessels, and those owned by foreign entities or individuals.

TDRA

Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority — radio licensing

Beyond hull registration, every vessel in UAE waters must comply with TDRA rules for onboard communication equipment. TDRA manages the national radio spectrum and authorizes all shipborne radio equipment.

  • Ship station license

We secure the mandatory Ship Station License entirely online, authorizing the installation and operation of marine radio and telecommunications equipment on your vessel.

  • Radio identity allocation

We obtain your vessel's unique radio identifiers — the official Call Sign and the Maritime Mobile Service Identity (MMSI) number — through the TDRA digital portal.

  • Equipment authorization

We ensure onboard wireless devices — required on all recreational vessels over 10.6 metres and all commercial ships — are authorized and meet approved technical specifications.

  • Emergency beacon registration

We register onboard emergency positioning beacons such as EPIRBs, so your position can be identified quickly in an emergency.

  • Port operations coordination

We make sure your communication systems are cleared to interface with port and harbour communications, supporting safe port entry and vessel movement coordination.
